With a film and animation career that spans 25 years,Tom brings with him vast knowledge and experience to the Reel Feedback team. He found his way to animation back in 1987. He started work at a Disney Saturday morning cartoon and moved onto to Stop Motion animation for Douglas Trumbull, Colossal Pictures and Skellington Productions before migrating to computers at Tippett Studio for Starship Troopers in 1995. He became a Tippett Animation Supervisor in 1999 and since then, he’s worked on over 20 films including the films Virus, Blade II, The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, Charlotte’s Web, Cloverfield, and Enchanted. Currently he is the animation supervisor for the next chapter of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
Randy Link
Lead Animator, Weta Digital
With 22 years of animation experience Randy has worked on some of the top Visual Effects films like King Kong, Matrix and Spiderman. He started working as a stop motion animator in 1990 for Olive Jar Animation Studio and and later Danger Studios doing stop motion for the TV show "Bump in the night". In 1995 he did a stop motion test for Phil Tippett which gave him the opportunity to work on his first feature film, Starship Troopers. Since then Randy Link has worked at numerous visual effects houses including Tippett Studio, Sony Imageworks, ESC Entertainment. He is currently back at Weta Digital working on the Hobbit.
Chris Hatala
Animation Director, Massive Black
Christopher Hatala began his career at Tippett Studio in Berkeley back in 2001. A year later he moved to Wellington, New Zealand to animate with Weta Digital on the feature films: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Return of the King, I- Robot and King Kong. Since 2005, Chris has been living in San Francisco working as Animation Director / Co-Founder of Massive Black Inc.
James W. Brown
Animation Supervisor, Tippett Studio
Jim brings 14 years of feature film experience. Jim entered the industry in 1999 at Foundation Imaging on the Starship Troopers TV series. Shortly thereafter Jim joined Tippett Studio to work on The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. In 2007 he became an Animation Supervisor on Beverly Hills Chihuahua. He then moved on to Supervise the creature for Priest and Season of the Witch. As a supervising animator at Tippett Studio Jim reviews demo reels on a regular basis and has helped design several animation courses at some of the top animation schools. Currently Jim is the animation supervisor for the upcoming feature film Ted.
Hans G. Brekke
Lead Animator, Tippett Studio
Hans started animating creatures for Massive Black in San Francisco in 2005. A year later he started working on Enchanted at Tippett Studio. For the last 6 years Hans has animated monsters and creatures in films such as Spiderwick Chronicles, Drag me to Hell and Cloverfield. He is also teaching animation to students at California College of the Arts in Oakland. Currently he is a lead animator for the werewolves on the next chapter of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
